What we offer
Tui-Na
Within the TCM Tui-Na techniques are used for massages. "Tui" means push, "Na" means grab/hold. Tuina ("Twienaa") is a therapeutic massage treatment that comes from Chinese Traditional Medicine. The techniques stimulate the meridians and the blood flow is also improved. Many different massage techniques are used: (fast) strokes in different pressures, kneading movements, turning, pushing, knocking, rolling and pressing. Sometimes the techniques are tough, but often it is experienced as relaxing.
Moxa, Guasha and Cupping are all parts of TuiNa massage techniques.
Moxa
In Moxa therapy, moxing or moxabustion, heat is used with the help of a heat stick (a kind of cigar) to stimulate the flow of energy and blood flow. The moxa stick is made from a plant, the mugwort herb and is lit on one side like a cigar. With this side, points on the body (along the meridians) are warmed. This warmth has a beneficial effect like a heat lamp can have and has a deep effect on the muscles and meridians.
Guasha
With a herbal oil, the skin is "scraped" with the help of a tool like a stone. Where there are blockades, a kind of bruising will be visible in the skin. These spots disappear on their own, sometimes the same day, sometimes a day later. The bruises show that the energy flow and blood flow are starting up again, provoking a healing response. It acts on the connective tissue, lymphs, muscles, blood vessels, nerves. Relief of complaints quickly occurs, sometimes during treatment. Treatment with guasha stimulates the immune system, promotes blood circulation and the removal of waste products, ensures better functioning of the organs, balances and can loosen emotions, can relieve pain and loosen stuck muscles, removes blockages and reduces stress and fatigue.
It is a painless treatment.
Hot stone massage
The stones for this massage are warmed up in water. They are up to 45 degrees. A number of stones are placed in certain places, such as along the bladder meridian on the back, near the feet and in the hands. Then the rest of the body is massaged with warm stones.
The effect of a hot stone massage is very relaxing, after a treatment you will sleep wonderfully. As with a moxa treatment, the points where the stones are placed are stimulated by the heat.
Cupping
A treatment with cups works deeply on different layers and treats the connective tissue. As with the guasha stone, after treatment with cups, bruises will be seen in the skin which will disappear after a few days.

Triggerpoint massage
(Over)load can cause "trigger points" or muscle knots in the muscles. At these points, a lot of tension builts and cramps arise that cause complaints and pain. A trigger point massage can provide relief in these knots by applying targeted and constant pressure to the knot with fingers, elbows or thumbs. By pressing and breathing well, the knot will dissolve, creating space and relaxation in the muscle. Although the massage itself may be sensitive, complaints will certainly disappear after the treatment. There is more freedom of movement and muscles are well supplied with blood again.
Sportmassage
This is a firm massage aimed at keeping the muscles, joints and connective tissue flexible. It helps prevent injuries and keeps the muscles in top condition. By using firm techniques such as kneading, stroking and frictions, deeper tissue layers are reached and the connective tissue is loosened. This massage is ideal before or after a workout
